Q & A with JULEANA RICE:
What's Your Most Memorable Moment with Assist?
"Within the first week I started with Assist International, I was asked to make travel reservations to Kenya and Uganda for Tim and his team. It was so intimidating but fascinating to realize on what level Assist International was involved in helping people around the world. On that trip, Tim discovered a toddler who was living outside a hospital in Kenya. He had no home, no family and only the food the staff from the hospital would give him. Tim, through his contacts, helped him find a home."
You have 30 seconds to tell someone about Assist International:
"The two words I would use to describe Assist are 'amazing' and 'passionate.' I am so fortunate to be a part of something that transforms so many lives around the world. The impact Assist International has on men, women and children is life changing."
What AI 'Issue' is Most Profound to You & Why?
"Having three boys myself, taking care of the needs of vulnerable children touches my heart the most. Assist International is able to clothe, feed, and build them safe homes to live in. So many times children are left behind because their parents are not able to receive adequate medical care. We build orphanages to home, feed, and clothe these children, and schools so the children can become educated and self sufficient."
Is there a country or region you have a particular affinity for?
"I would love to go to Africa. I would love to see their beautiful country and help build orphanages for the children there."
